Job Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in capturing and refining requirements for an examiner workflow tool designed to replace and enhance a legacy system using AWS cloud services. This role requires close collaboration with product owners and development teams to ensure clear communication and shared understanding of project goals within an Agile framework.
Responsibilities:
- Capture and document detailed business and system requirements.
- Update and maintain user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, release management, and PI planning sessions.
- Work closely with product owners and technical teams to ensure alignment on desired outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement and maintenance of the examiner workflow tool.
- Assist in prioritization and estimation of user stories.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computing Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading projects or key business initiatives.
- At least 2 years of IT portfolio and customer relationship management experience.
- Certification in one or more of the following: PMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, Scaled Agile Framework, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud UI application development projects.
- Expertise in eliciting, analyzing, specifying, verifying, writing, and managing requirements for web-based UI and data-driven applications.
- Proven experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience facilitating Agile meetings and backlog refinement sessions.
- Experience assisting with release management and Program Increment (PI) planning.
Special Considerations:
- Position requires working onsite 5 days a week in Washington, DC.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Scheduling:
- Full-time, onsite schedule with 5 days per week attendance.
- Contract duration through the end of the year, with potential for extension.
