What you'll do
- Lead the implementation of Linux-based systems and cloud solutions, ensuring they meet the specific needs of our clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud architectures that enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, implementing necessary updates and optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Linux servers and cloud environments, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Conduct training sessions for internal teams and clients to ensure effective use of implemented systems and technologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions that align with business objectives.
- Participate in on-call support rotations, providing after-hours assistance as needed to resolve critical incidents.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure that implementation timelines and deliverables are met, contributing to overall project success.
- Engage with clients to gather feedback and assess satisfaction, using insights to drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Assist in the development of best practices and standard operating procedures for cloud and Linux implementations.
- Contribute to the overall strategy for cloud adoption and migration, helping to shape the future direction of our technology offerings.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Linux systems in a professional environment.
- Proven expertise in cloud technologies, including but not limited to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, with the ability to configure and troubleshoot network issues.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of database management systems, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments, including identity and access management.
- Previous experience in a client-facing role, with a focus on customer satisfaction and relationship management.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or similar credentials.
