Role Description: The Informatica Data Integration Senior Developer must have 5-8+ years of experience.
As the Data Integration Senior Developer, you will design and implement enterprise-grade data integration solutions using Informatica IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud). This role focuses on hands-on development of Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) pipelines, with expertise in data architecture, transformation logic, and data governance.
You will lead technical implementation across complex engagements while providing mentorship to junior developers and supporting pre-sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable CDI pipelines and ETL transformations for complex data integration scenarios
- Configure and optimize CDQ rules, data quality frameworks, and validation logic for enterprise data management
- Design data flows integrating multiple source systems with master data management, cloud data warehouses and applications
- Develop and maintain data transformation logic, mapping documentation, and technical specifications
- Troubleshoot and optimize CDI/CDQ performance; manage deployment and post-go-live support
- Participate in knowledge sharing; create technical documentation and internal training materials
- Mentor junior developers; establish best practices and coding standards for data integration
Required Qualifications:
Experience
- 8+ years in data integration, ETL, or data engineering
- 5+ years hands-on with Informatica IDMC Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Cloud Data Quality (CDQ)
- Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end data integration solutions
- Experience with MDM integrations and real-time/batch data processing
- Strong background in data modeling, transformation logic, and data governance
Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Informatica CDI (mappings, transformations, sessions, workflows)
- Advanced knowledge of CDQ data quality rules, profiling, and cleansing
- System design and optimization for scalable data pipelines; performance tuning
- Data modeling expertise; understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehouse design
- SQL and relational databases; complex query optimization
- Integration technologies: REST APIs, batch processing, event-driven architectures
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
Soft Skills
- Problem-solving in complex, multi-system data environments
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Stakeholder management and requirements gathering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Informatica CAI for real-time data integration.
- Experience with Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) or Data Governance products
- Experience with competing ETL/data integration tools (Apache Airflow, Talend, Matillion, dbt)
- Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, data lineage)
- CI/CD pipeline experience; Git or version control systems for data assets
- Cloud data platform expertise (Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark)
- Informatica certifications (CDI, CDQ, IDMC)
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, AWS Kinesis) for real-time integrations
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience in data integration projects.
