Prerequisites
Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States at the start of employment. The Department of Human Services does not sponsor work visas and does not participate in E-Verify.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, diagnose malfunctions, and troubleshoot high‑speed inserting machines.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of mailing and documents by performing a variety of processing functions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Customer Service Skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to internal and external partners.
- Database, Documents, and Records Management skills sufficient to maintain records required by the U.S. Postal Service.
- Physical Demands: able to lift up to 40 pounds, roll rolls of paper (500+ pounds) with assistance, and stand for long periods of time.
- Experience with the operation of BlueCrest insertion machines or similar high‑speed machines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge and experience of the operation of BlueCrest insertion machines.
- Knowledge and understanding of work and operations performed at the Issuance Operation Center (IOC).
- Knowledge of data privacy issues.
- Knowledge of paper stock, envelopes, inserts, batch identification, etc.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
- Experience operating printers, inserters, sorters, and peripheral equipment.
- Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
