Job Summary
Depending on the engagement, integration developers on our bench typically work on:
- Designing and building integrations between enterprise systems using platforms such as webMethods, MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar
- Developing and maintaining REST APIs in high-transaction, production-grade environments
- Making architectural decisions on data flow, adapter selection, error handling, and sync vs async patterns
- Debugging production issues under pressure with full ownership of resolution
- Collaborating with client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into integration solutions
- Working in Unix/Linux environments including server setup, scripting, and deployment
AI-augmented workflow: Many of our current engagements use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor as part of the daily workflow. You don't need prior experience with these tools. What matters is that you're open to working with them. We provide onboarding.
Must Haves
- 4+ years of backend or API development experience
- Production experience with REST APIs in high-traffic or high-availability environments
- Strong grasp of integration concepts, data flow, protocols (HTTP/S, SFTP, SMTP, file polling)
- Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments
- Problem-solver mindset with the maturity to own issues end to end
Strong Advantage
- Hands-on experience with any integration platform: webMethods, MuleSoft, Boomi, TIBCO, Apache Camel, SSIS, or similar
- Java or Spring Boot background (preferred); Node.js and .NET are also considered
- Experience in high-transaction environments (high API call volumes, HA infrastructure)
- Unix scripting: bash, cron jobs, deployment scripts
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor
