Requirements:
- This role requires full-time office presence in Cape Town.
- 4–5 years experience working as a frontend developer or engineer
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- Experience working with a modern frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services
- Experience working in an English speaking environment
- Experience collaborating with UX/UI/Product designers
Skills:
- Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals
- Experience with state management (e.g. Redux, Vuex, NgRx)
- Familiarity with module bundlers and build tools (e.g. Webpack, Vite)
- Attention to detail with a strong sense of design and usability
- Optimization of the application for performance and scalability
- Implementing unit and integration tests (e.g. Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
Nice to have:
- Experience with Node.js or server-side JavaScript (e.g. Next. xrurlwr js, Nuxt.js)
- Familiarity with TypeScript generics, decorators, or advanced type patterns
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility standards
