What You'll Be Doing Produce working, quality software that meets the design Develop critical and complex technical components within your area of accountability Deliver system component designs that are robust and fault-tolerant for large, complex systems Ensure component designs are supportable, maintainable and reusable Deliver software that is observable and scalable Estimate work effort accurately Troubleshoot and solve software issues, guiding other team members along the way Produce documentation in line with organisational standards Drive continuous improvement of software Provide maintenance and support for software within your area of accountability Develop unit and system test cases, and conduct unit and system testing Create deployment artefacts and store them in the source control library Manage the deployment package and its execution Optimise tooling changes in collaboration with Biz/Dev/Ops engineers Update and maintain the asset knowledge base Ensure your work integrates smoothly with the wider team Collaborate with designers, product owners and engineering leads to refine solutions Contribute to breaking down the system solution into components for development Support the achievement of business strategy, objectives and values Stay current with developments in your field of expertise Drive your own growth and effectiveness in your role Contribute to culture-building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys) Support corporate responsibility initiatives that advance business strategy Look for opportunities to improve business processes, models and systems through agile thinking Provide mentoring to multiple software developers What You'll Bring Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Preferred Qualification Diploma or Certificate in one or more programming languages Preferred Certifications Certification in a relevant language, where available Experience A minimum of 3 years' programming experience Technical / Professional Knowledge IT data structures Application systems System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Front-End Developer SkillsetWe're specifically looking for a Front End Developer with the following minimum skillsets:
