Hourly rate: 80 – 100 euros
Duration: 6 months
Hybrid: 2 days per week

We are looking for an iOS Developer to join our Search organisation, augmenting an existing, backend-heavy team. You will focus on building and evolving user interfaces that surface search results and related experiences to customers, in a large-scale, corporate environment.
You will work closely with backend engineers and product stakeholders to design and implement UI and interaction flows that are performant, reliable, and aligned with our product vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain iOS user interfaces for search-related features using Swift and SwiftUI
- Collaborate with backend-heavy teams to integrate APIs and data into rich, responsive search experiences
- Work with an internal backend-driven UI framework, where UI is defined in JavaScript/TypeScript and rendered on iOS
- Contribute to system design and architecture discussions for the iOS side of the product
- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders in an enterprise-scale environment
- Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., cloud-based code assistants / agentic coding tools) as part of the daily development workflow
Required Technical Skills
- Strong professional experience with:
- Swift
- SwiftUI
- Solid understanding of iOS application architecture, including patterns such as MVVM/MVC and clean architecture principles
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs or similar backend services into iOS apps
- Familiarity with backend-driven UI concepts (server-driven UI / configuration-driven rendering) or willingness to quickly ramp up
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (e.g., code assistants, agentic coding workflows) in day-to-day development
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for UI-related tooling or internal frameworks
- Exposure to Node.js, especially in the context of frontend–backend connectivity or tooling
- Experience working in large, corporate / enterprise environments (e.g., large tech, finance, insurance, or other regulated / structured environments)
- Previous experience in search, recommender systems, or content discovery products
Soft Skills & Ways of Working
- Ability to operate in a structured, multi-team environment with clear processes and cross-team dependencies
- Strong communication skills – able to explain technical decisions and trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable collaborating with engineering managers and other senior engineers in design and architecture discussions
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset, able to propose solutions rather than just identify issues
