Java & API Application Support Engineer – AMS

The role focuses on incident and request management, technical analysis, coordination, documentation, support for testing and releases, and continuous improvement within the AMS environment. The incumbent will work closely with development, database, infrastructure, networking, and security teams to ensure stability and availability of Java-based applications.

• Incident and request management for Java applications in the AMS environment, ensuring service stability and availability.
• Technical analysis and process validation of application behavior, integration flows, and system dependencies.
• Coordinate technical fixes, enhancements, and change validation with development and related teams.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and support audit requirements.
• Support functional and technical testing (SIT/UAT), validate deliverables, and aid post‑release stabilization.
• Identify, propose, and lead continuous improvement initiatives for performance, security, and process optimization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of technical support and/or development experience using Java technologies.
• Experience with Java applications (JSP, Java 1.4/1.8, C, Axis, Scheduler, HTML, JavaScript) and related libraries/services.
• Exposure to AMS environments and 24/7 rotating shift support.
• Fluent Spanish (native) and basic English.
• Result‑oriented mindset with strong self‑management and continuous improvement focus.

• Experience in the retail industry, with familiarity with Palacio de Hierro systems.
• Participation in implementation projects, deployments, or major application changes.
• Java certification and Microsoft certifications.
• ITIL certification.
