We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Java Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS EKS, and Kubernetes . The ideal candidate should be capable of working at both the hands-on development and architecture levels , proactively proposing solutions, leading technical discussions, and guiding teams through the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native applications.
Key Responsibilities Java & Microservices Development:
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable microservices using Java 8/11/17+ and Spring Boot .
- Develop secure and high-performance RESTful APIs.
- Apply clean architecture, SOLID principles, and enterprise design patterns.
- Troubleshoot complex application and production issues.
AWS EKS & Kubernetes:
- Deploy, configure, scale, and manage microservices on AWS EKS .
- Work with: Kubernetes Deployments Services Ingress ConfigMaps Secrets Namespaces Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA)
- Troubleshoot pods, networking, deployments, and cluster-level issues.
- Implement containerized workloads using Docker.
Architecture & Solution Design:
- Lead and participate in architecture and solution design discussions.
- Define target-state architecture, integration patterns, and technical trade-offs.
- Create: High-Level Design (HLD) Low-Level Design (LLD) Sequence Diagrams Deployment Topology Technical Runbooks
- Drive solutions from design through production readiness.
AWS Cloud & DevOps:
- Work with AWS services including: IAM VPC ALB/NLB ECR CloudWatch S3 RDS DynamoDB
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
- Automate application deployments and infrastructure processes.
Performance, Reliability & Security:
- Define and implement non-functional requirements related to: Performance Scalability Resiliency Availability Observability Security
- Establish best practices for microservices deployment and monitoring on EKS.
- Implement appropriate logging, monitoring, alerting, and health-check strategies.
Technical Leadership:
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, SRE/DevOps, and Security teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Establish coding standards and best practices.
- Conduct design and code reviews.
- Proactively identify technical risks and recommend solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in: Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, REST APIs
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes .
- Experience with: Deployments Services Ingress ConfigMaps Secrets HPA Namespaces
- Strong Docker and containerization experience.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Kubernetes pods, networking, and cluster issues.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- Experience with architecture, solution design, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer certification.
- Experience with: Helm Terraform Argo CD Jenkins GitHub Actions AWS CodePipeline
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as: Prometheus Grafana Splunk Datadog
