Job Description
We are seeking a technically strong Distributed Cache & Java Support Engineer to support distributed caching solutions and onboard Java and Spring Boot application use cases to the distributed-cache platform.
The candidate will combine hands-on Java development with practical enterprise distributed cache or in-memory data grid experience.
The role focuses on cache use-case assessment and onboarding, Java integration support, distributed-cache troubleshooting, and JVM diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide production support for distributed cache clusters and related Java application integrations.
• Monitor cluster health, partition distribution, memory, latency, throughput, capacity, and performance.
• Support cache configuration and troubleshooting across distributed maps, Near Cache, eviction and expiry/TTL, partitioning, backup and replication, serialization, and cluster discovery.
• Diagnose cache-related incidents including high latency, memory pressure, member restarts, split-brain conditions, data inconsistency, and degraded performance.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and vendor support teams to investigate issues and drive technical resolution.
• Review and modify Java or Spring Boot code required to onboard application use cases to the distributed-cache platform.
• Work with application teams to understand the use case, data model, access pattern, expected load, and caching objectives.
• Implement application-side cache integration changes and validate serialization, distributed maps, Near Cache, eviction/TTL, and client configuration.
• Troubleshoot JVM and application issues encountered during onboarding, integration testing, and production stabilization.
Minimum Qualification & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Java backend development, Java application support, distributed systems, or closely related engineering work.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with distributed caching or in-memory data grid technologies in conjunction with Java applications.
