Java + aws developer (8+ years)

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

To be successful as a Java AWS Engineer, you should have experience with:

Design, develop, and maintain large-scale applications using Java, Spring boot, React.js, microservices and CI/CD pipelines. Develop unit tests to ensure high code quality and maturity metrics. Implement scalable solutions using scaled agile methodologies. Ensure seamless integration with various stakeholders' systems (business, tech, and product). AWS and experience in solving complex business issues. Automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g Cloud Formation or Terraform). Cloud Architecture and Design. Security Compliance. Demonstrable expertise designing and building with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS, ELB, SNS, SQS, IAM. Utilising CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Bitbucket or Git Lab in order to streamline delivery of new features and fixes. Knowledge of programming / scripting languages such as Bash, Powershell, Python or Java. A working knowledge of Linux, networking, routing & firewalls etc.
