Job Title: Senior Java AWS Engineer

Location: White Plains NY, 4 Days a week onsite,they can pick the day they want to be remote.

Duration: 1 Year - 2 years CONTRACT

Position Summary : The Senior Java Developer will be apart of the transformational journey to deliver a best systems to supportAutoNation’s business lines, across all channels. The role of the SeniorDeveloper is to collaboratively drive the development and support of ourcritical business systems for the Client including internal and externalsystems. This role requires deep technical knowledge of high volume and highlytransactional systems OrganizationalRelationships : Collaborate with Product Owners, QA,PMO, DevOps and other developers to define requirements, design, and developthe web application. JobResponsibilities : • Analyze, design and developapplication solutions and enhancements that meet requirements • Ensure adherence to programming andenterprise architectural standards • Complete work assignments andperform appropriate follow up to ensure that tasks are completed on time • Collaborate with product owners,application users, creative team and other developers to define requirements,design, and develop the web application • Assist in the rollout of newapplications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software • Support configuration management anddeployments of code and configuration items across environments to production • Create consistent and accuratetechnical and end-user documentation of implemented applications • Support the QA team on automationand other scripting requirements Qualifications : • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering orsimilar field (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years of experience developingmission critical and high throughput systems • Experience building servicesutilizing Core Java with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC and ApacheCamel • Experience working with relationaldatabases, e.g. MS SQL Server, MySQL, Aurora • Experience with source controls suchas GIT and SubVersion • Experience producing and consumingSOAP/REST Web Services • Application performance tuning andoptimization. • Analytical, problem-solving mindset. • Self-driven with minimalsupervision. • Experience working on aproduction-critical system.
