Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (4 Days WFO)

Looking for a strong Java Backend Developer who has some web application (front-end) experience.
Role and Responsibilities
- As a Backend Software Developer, you have a solid technical foundation and a strong focus on growing your development skills.
- You are able to deliver complex tasks, working individually or pairing with others, and you have a significant amount of experience in different domains.
- You will be part of a team creating new services and client-facing applications using the latest technologies which will shape the future of banking.
- You will develop and support highly scalable, high-performance APIs within an Agile development team.
- Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing.
- Automate processes within the development pipeline; identify opportunities for efficiency gains and reducing time-to-market and enabling continuous delivery.
- Design and develop code structures based on technical design defined by the team.
- Work within an Agile product team comprised of technical, product, and business team members to deliver exceptional products.
- You will actively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges.
- Excellent communication including the ability to distill technical details into human terms.
Required Qualifications
- Cloud experience in one of OCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Prefer OCP4, minimum (3x) years.
- Java/Spring experience, minimum (5x) years.
- LINUX/AIX experience, minimum (3x) years.
- GitHub Actions experience, minimum of (1x) year.
- GitHub experience, minimum of (2x) years.
- Agile experience, minimum (3x) years.
- Strong leadership skills leading Agile teams, (3x) years experience.
- DevOps minimum (1x) year experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trading business domain knowledge.
- AI experience (LLM, MCP, RAG, LANGCHAIN, Skills/Agents/Tasks/Vector DB).
- Experience with Web App development, Angular, JavaScript, etc.
