Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a long-term project with Infosys supporting our client in Phoenix, AZ.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Apache Kafka, and SQL, along with expertise in building scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java Backend Development

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka

• Strong SQL and database query skills

• Experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture

• REST API development and integration

• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Code reviews, unit testing, and application design

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java backend applications

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and Microservices

• Develop event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka

• Write and optimize SQL queries

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and code reviews

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Development teams

• Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions

Basic Qualifications

• Local to Phoenix, AZ

• Strong backend development experience with Java, Kafka, and SQL
