Java Backend Developer

As a Java Backend Developer, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services supporting digital wallet solutions and payment platforms.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs that enable secure and scalable payment processing capabilities.
Implement card lifecycle management functionalities, including token creation, token deletion, activation, deactivation, and status updates.
Integrate backend services with mobile applications and external payment service providers.
Ensure secure communication and compliance with authentication, authorization, and payment security standards.
Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, QA teams, and other developers within Agile delivery teams.
Support testing, debugging, and production readiness activities across the software development lifecycle.
Investigate and resolve issues identified during integration, end-to-end, and conformity testing phases.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality, maintainability, and performance.
Optimize backend services to ensure scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
Follow engineering best practices, security requirements, and software development standards.

What You Bring to the Table:

4–7 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
Strong expertise in Core Java and enterprise application development.
Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
Experience working with digital payments, tokenization services, or financial transaction platforms.
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security principles.
Experience integrating backend services with mobile applications and third-party platforms.
Knowledge of integration testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps and Confluence.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
