Location Address: Hybrid - 40 King Street W 23rd Floor, Toronto – 2 days/week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays – subject to change)
Subject to change: 3–4 days onsite may be required based on business needs
Contract Duration: ASAP to 10/31/2026 FYE
Possibility of extension & hope for them to convert to FTE

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 8+ years’ hands‑on experience in Java (JDK 21+), Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
2) 5+ years’ experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
3) 8+ years’ experience with multi‑threaded and concurrent programming
4) 5+ years’ experience with performance testing, monitoring and tuning (e.g. Dynatrace), and security scans (SAST, DAST)
5) 3+ years of experience with Redis for distributed caching
Nice‑To‑Have Skills:
1) Familiarity with C++ is a plus
2) Proven experience delivering large‑scale, end‑to‑end systems
3) Experience in derivatives space within capital markets is an asset
4) Hands‑on experience with enterprise‑grade application development and deployment
5) Strong experience with Agile / iterative SDLC methodologies – JIRA/Confluence
6) Experience with cloud technologies (GCP preferred)
7) Experience from the client Scotiabank to be able to conduct a reference check would be helpful so they can hit the ground running
