Role: Java Backend Developer (Microservices & Data Integration)

Location: Raleigh NC (Hybrid onsite)

Duration: 24+ Months W2 Only, ANY VISA...

Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Or related field

Must Have: Minimum 10 years of experience required.

Summary

Seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with 10+ years of experience in building scalable microservices and data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, cloud platforms (Azure/Google Cloud Platform), and event-driven architecture (Kafka). This role focuses on backend development, distributed systems, and integration of enterprise data platforms.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems
• Strong experience with data pipelines (batch & streaming)
• Hands-on experience with Kafka (event-driven architecture)
• Experience with cloud platforms: Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Spring Batch, Kafka Streams, or Spark
• Solid understanding of API integrations and system design

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes / containerization
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of OpenStack or infrastructure engineering
• Experience integrating with Salesforce / Oracle systems
• Experience with Airflow or data orchestration tools

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot
• Build and optimize data pipelines and streaming solutions
• Design event-driven architectures using Kafka
• Integrate external systems with cloud and enterprise platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture and delivery
• Support CI/CD and deployment processes

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong backend-focused Java developer (not UI-heavy)
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise or financial systems
• Hands-on with data integration and cloud environments
• Comfortable working in onsite hybrid model (NC-based roles)
• Proven experience in high-performance, scalable systems
