Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend DevOps Engineert o design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java backend development, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance, secure, and resilient enterprise applications deployed in modern cloud environments.
Required Qualifications - 10+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
- Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong knowledge of Microservices Architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA.
- Hands-on experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Strong understanding of unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Experience with Istio service mesh for traffic management and microservices security.
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps methodologies, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and automation best practices.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Strong SQL performance tuning and query optimization skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and scalability patterns.
- Experience implementing OAuth2, JWT, and application security best practices.
- Experience with Redis or other caching technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications are a plus.
- Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services and microservices.
- Build secure, reusable, and high-performance RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-native applications across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes and Istio.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product Management, and Engineering teams throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical planning, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Monitor application health using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Continuously improve DevOps processes, automation, and deployment strategies.
