Java Backend Engineer - Global Digital Financial Platform - J13039
Our client is a leading financial institution with a prestigious brand, international presence, and an innovative digital platform. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Java Backend Engineer.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading the development of cutting-edge web and mobile digital solutions. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a passion for high-quality engineering and tackle complex problems with innovative solutions.
Contribute to developing and enhancing core libraries and design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
Lead efforts in prototyping and redesigning features, focusing on user experience and performance.
Engage in code reviews and participate in technical design and architectural discussions to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
Actively monitor and enhance the performance of systems, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of application changes to support future development and troubleshooting efforts.
Foster effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders across different regions, ensuring alignment and shared understanding of project goals.
Embrace agile development methodologies and drive the adoption of DevOps practices, including CI/CD and configuration management.
Exhibit a self-starter attitude, providing leadership and working towards team-oriented objectives to achieve project success.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role in an enterprise environment.
Strong proficiency in Core Java and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles preferred.
Extensive experience with event/message-driven architectures, specifically MQ and Kafka.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the financial services industry.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
