We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing Java Development Competence Center . Reporting directly to the Tech Lead , you will be part of an experienced international team, contributing to the design and development of high-quality software solutions for leading international client.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality backend applications using Java 17/21
- Develop scalable applications based on microservices architecture
- Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
- Develop applications using Spring Boot and modern Java frameworks
- Integrate asynchronous messaging solutions using Kafka
- Contribute to frontend developments using Angular 21 when required
- Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead to define technical solutions, architecture and development best practices
- Write clean, efficient and maintainable code following industry standards
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment alongside developers, QA and Business Analysts
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining high quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- 4–6+ years of professional experience in Java software development
- Strong expertise in Java Backend development
- Solid experience with Java 17
- Strong experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with Kafka or other event-driven messaging platforms
- Proven experience developing microservices-based applications
- Experience building REST APIs and working with distributed systems
- Experience with Angular 21 is a plus
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Professional level of English
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in an international team
