Role: Senior Software Engineer (Backend); XVA Platform Team - Commodities Expansion - Metals
Location Address: Hybrid - 44 King; 2 days onsite/week
Subject to change: 3-4 days onsite may be required based on business needs
Contract Duration: 6 months with a possibility for extension for another 6 months
Number of Positions: 1
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years of experience in Java web application development, with strong expertise in the Spring Framework
2) Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL).
3) Experience with Cloud deployment and Cloud Native Application Development (any of the major public cloud service providers)
4) Experience working with Git, Kafka, Redis
5) Expertise in large-scale data processing systems, including knowledge of horizontal scaling techniques such as sharding, partitioning, and distributed architectures
Nice-To-Have Skills:
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Azure Cloud)
Experience with configuration management solutions like Ansible and cloud deployment tools like Terraform
Experience with Python or Scala
Experience with Linux commands & shell scripting.
Experience in/exposure to Capital Markets/Finance domain
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Proven experience designing and building high-throughput, scalable systems
Strong architectural thinking with a focus on performance optimization
Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux
Prior experience in Capital Markets or risk systems (preferred)
If candidate is from BNS; client, will be helpful to check previous feedback and finalize in 1 technical round
Candidate Review; Selection ; Interview Process
2 technical rounds and a potential 3rd for fit; MS Teams Interviews;
1st and 2nd; 1 hour; (1 round with HM and 1 round with a Dev on the team) codility for whiteboarding; coding question in Java posed during the interview that they have to solution live in discussion with the team and other technical questions
3rd is 30 minutes
