As a Senior Java Cloud Developer you will join our multinational team of experienced developers who work across a wide range of technologies and disciplines. You will contribute to building and improving our ReadID SaaS platform, focusing on secure, scalable, and high‑performance server development. Collaboration and teamwork are at the heart of what we do, and you will play a key part in shaping a reliable and innovative product used by customers worldwide.
What You Will Do
Develop and maintain our ReadID SaaS server with security and scalability in mind.
Contribute to the ReadID roadmap by adding new features and integrating with partner solutions such as facial recognition technologies.
Support external developers in using the ReadID API, particularly the server‑side REST, XML, and JSON interfaces.
Create and maintain clear API documentation for customers and partners.
Participate in automated testing to ensure reliability and quality.
Optionally contribute to analytics projects, DevOps or CloudOps initiatives, or backend optimisation efforts.
Work closely with colleagues and customers from around the world in an agile, collaborative environment.
Work at least two days per week from the office in Enschede or Valencia.
What We Expect
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Security, or a related field at the MSc or BSc level.
At least seven years of professional experience in Java server‑side development.
Strong knowledge of Java EE or Jakarta, Spring, REST, XML, and JSON.
Experience with continuous integration such as Jenkins, containerisation with Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
Understanding of security principles and familiarity with OWASP guidelines.
Experience with the ELK stack is an advantage.
Preferably experience with front‑end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and Angular.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to lead complex issues from concept to production in collaboration with your team.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Located within commuting distance of Enschede or Valencia, or willing to relocate, with at least two office days per week.
