ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our Banking & Financial Services team as a Java Developer specializing in Actimize and/or Fircosoft platforms. Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale applications for AML, sanctions screening, and fraud detection solutions. Configure, customize, and support mission-critical financial crime compliance applications for global banking clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop Actimize and FircoSoft solutions
- Implement and configure AML, sanctions screening, and fraud detection modules
- Write, test, and deploy Java code using Spring Boot and microservices architecture
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services
- Customize workflows, screening rules, alert processing, and case management
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Compliance teams, and cross-functional Agile teams
- Mentor junior developers and maintain code quality standards
- Support enterprise banking system integrations
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 5-7+ years with Actimize and/or FircoSoft platforms
- 7-8+ years Java development experience
- Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
- Microservices architecture and REST API development
- Oracle SQL, SQL Server, PL/SQL
- Linux/Unix operating systems
- IBM MQ, Kafka, or messaging technologies
- Shell scripting
- Version control (Git, Bitbucket)
- Strong understanding of AML, sanctions screening, and fraud detection workflows
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and financial crime compliance
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- Actimize: SAM, RCM, CDD, AIS, ActOne, ERCM
- FircoSoft: Continuity V6, Screening Preparation, Firco Utilities
- Database: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Frameworks: Spring Cloud, Microservices
- APIs: RESTful Services, SOAP Web Services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Cassandra, Kafka streaming expertise
- ETL platforms and data processing
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Docker, Kubernetes
- Agile development with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
- Leadership or senior developer experience
- Experience with other compliance tools (NetReveal, Actimize, Oracle FCCM)
- On-call and production support experience
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Or equivalent professional experience
