Role Description

We are in search of an individual capable of spearheading interactions with our clients. This position entails serving as the primary contact with the accountability for delivery, fostering client relationships, and supervising the team responsible for the tasks. The responsibilities also include technical leadership, getting your hands dirty with code, and effective stakeholder management through close collaboration with clients. Throughout the engagement, the role requires working closely with the client's internal staff and product teams, serving as their strategic delivery partner and trusted advisor.

We believe small, multi‑disciplinary teams are most effective in delivering complex change of this nature. As such, this is a crucial role and will require flexibility and the ability to take on different responsibilities over the lifetime of the engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interaction with stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and business goals are understood
  • Accountable for the design of the solutions
  • Overseeing and managing development teams
  • At least 50% hands‑on coding in Java, Node.js, or Python
  • Occasional business travel in North America

Role Requirements – Technical Skills and Experience

This position is well‑suited for a seasoned Technical Lead with a background in leading client‑facing engagements.

Must‑have Requirements

  • Experience in designing and building custom medium/large and/or enterprise applications for external clients
  • Expert in Java
  • Experience in AWS
  • Experience in MongoDB or another NoSQL database
  • Experience in microservices architecture
  • Experience in Python and/or Node.js
  • Team leading and overseeing delivery of a few distributed teams

Nice‑to‑have Requirements

  • Experience in Data Migrations
  • Experience in Kafka or similar technology
  • AWS Professional Certifications

Soft Skills

  • Delivery focus – strong analysis and problem‑solving skills, ability to evaluate, design and implement effective solutions, flexibility to adapt skills to a spectrum of client engagements, use cases and modes of change delivery
  • Strong consultant – good at listening and asking questions, ability to see issues from different perspectives and communicate well
  • Exemplary standards of personal integrity and respect for others – professional approach to all aspects of client engagement and collaborative team working, able to quickly build relationships based on trust and transparency. Strong presentation and written and verbal communication are essential given the client‑facing nature of the role
  • Value driven – creative thinking, with aptitude for innovation and strong desire to exceed client expectations
  • Energy – positive attitude and determination to learn and succeed
