In this role, you will, build and support business-critical Compliance and Regulatory Technology platforms. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient solutions using modern engineering practices, working closely with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality software, drive innovation, and ensure regulatory compliance. This practical role includes application development, microservices architecture, testing, production support, and continuous improvement of digital platforms.
To be successful as a Senior Java Developer - AVP, you should have:
Considerable practical experience in Core Java, including multithreading, concurrency, performance optimization, and development of high-quality, scalable applications
Proven experience designing and building RESTful microservices using Spring Boot, ELK, Spring Security, Spring Cloud patterns, OpenAPI standards, and service-oriented architecture principles
Considerable database and integration expertise, including PL/SQL, schema design, query optimization, and microservices integration, JMS, KAFKA & persistence using JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Data
Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms, with solid understanding of Docker, cloud-native development, and resilient distributed systems
Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, GitLab Duo), Git-based source control, automated quality gates, production support, log analysis, root cause investigation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Other highly valued skills include:
Experience with modern cloud platforms, including OpenShift, AWS, delivering scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions
AI-first mindset with a passion for leveraging AI and intelligent automation to enhance engineering productivity, improve software quality, and enable governed agentic and workflow-driven solutions
Good Python development experience, with the ability to build, integrate, and automate business and technology solutions
Solid understanding of Agile delivery practices, with practical experience working within Scrum and Kanban frameworks to deliver value iteratively and efficiently
Continuous improvement mindset, embracing emerging technologies, modern engineering practices, and data-driven ways of working to accelerate business outcomes
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in our Whippany, NJ office.
Minimum Salary: $120,000
Maximum Salary: $175,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
