Senior Java Developer - Banking

DWS is seeking a Senior Java Developer – Banking to support a high‑priority Technology Risk Remediation initiative within a complex Business Lending environment. This role is ideal for professionals with strong hands‑on Java expertise and proven banking or financial services experience, who can step into a regulated enterprise environment and deliver value with minimal ramp‑up. The program has strong executive visibility and requires engineers who are confident operating within large‑scale, high‑risk platforms.

Key requirements:

• Very strong Java development capability, gained within banking or financial services environments
• .NET experience is desirable
• Strong scripting skills, with PowerShell highly regarded
• Significant experience working in complex, regulated enterprise platforms
• Demonstrated ability to contribute quickly and operate effectively in high‑visibility delivery programs

Highly regarded experience:

• Prior experience within a tier‑one banking organisation
• Hands‑on experience working in microservices architectures, particularly NEF
• Experience with Kafka topics and event‑driven systems
• Exposure to OpenSearch, or involvement in Splunk to OpenSearch migration programs
