Senior Java Developer - BSS/OSS - HYBRID
We're looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join a Software Engineering team delivering enterprise-scale solutions. This is a hands-on role where you'll design, develop and enhance high-performance applications while collaborating with architects, project managers and cross-functional teams. You'll also mentor junior developers and help drive engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance enterprise software solutions.
- Analyse business requirements and contribute to technical design.
- Develop new features and product enhancements.
- Carry out code reviews, unit testing and performance optimisation.
- Support integration testing, bug fixing, releases and deployments.
- Collaborate within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning and estimations.
- Produce technical documentation and promote development best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience developing enterprise applications using Java .
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and J2EE .
- Experience building RESTful APIs , Microservices , and working with Kubernetes or OpenShift .
- Strong SQL skills with experience of RDBMS , SQL , and PL/SQL .
- Front-end development experience with Angular , JavaScript , Bootstrap , HTML5 , and CSS3 .
- Experience with JBoss or Oracle 10gAS application servers.
- Proficiency with Git , Maven , Jenkins , debugging tools, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) .
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Previous experience in a Senior Developer or technical leadership role.
Desirable
- Experience with JBoss Fuse , Apache Camel , DROOLS (JBoss Rules) , or Business Intelligence platforms.
- Experience with C/Pro*C in UNIX environments.
- Knowledge of Telecom BSS/OSS , Mediation, Billing, or Online Charging systems.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and DevOps pipelines.
- Experience working on high-volume enterprise systems within telecommunications, billing, or similar industries.
