In this role you guide a distributed delivery team to raise Agile maturity and cloud-native capabilities, while staying hands-on. You will act as the primary in-team coach and mentor, shaping engineering standards and practices. Your work enables offshore engineers to deliver reliable microservices and scalable systems within Elavon’s engineering and regulatory context. This position offers impact through coaching, architecture guidance, and enabling high-performing teams to deliver business value.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Act as the primary Agile practices coach within the team, helping offshore engineers participate effectively in ceremonies, backlog refinement, estimation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide day-to-day technical and delivery mentorship to a distributed team, focusing on cloud-native engineering capability and onboarding new members.
• Promote Agile values such as iterative development, customer collaboration, and adaptability.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservice applications using Java and Spring Boot, establishing patterns for consistent delivery.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Rancher.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers, demonstrating a T-shaped skillset across software development, design, testing and CI/CD.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) with product owners and domain experts.
Responsabilidades
• Proven experience in software development with a focus on cloud-native microservice applications.
• Senior or lead engineer experience providing technical coaching and delivery guidance without formal people-management authority.
• Extensive experience in Agile teams and coaching other engineers in Agile practices and delivery discipline.
• Experience in database design and data modelling for PostgreSQL, including cloud environments (Amazon RDS or Aurora PostgreSQL). xqbhyrx
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot; integration frameworks such as Apache Camel or Spring Integration; Kubernetes and/or Rancher; Kafka; JSON/JSONSchema; JUnit.
