Requirements
- 15 or more years of experience in Java systems engineering and application software development.
- Proficiency in SQL database development, schema design, and custom query scripting.
- Experience with supporting and maintaining large-scale, enterprise applications within collaborative team environments.
- Experience in Linux system administration, command-line operations, and shell scripting.
- Experience with migrating legacy mainframe system configurations to modernized Java and SQL environments.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and the Atlassian project management suite, specifically Jira.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee full-lifecycle Java programming, database package deployments, and comprehensive system testing.
- Analyze application logs, thread connectivity, memory utilization, and disk input/output to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Lead relational database schema evaluations, custom SQL trigger developments, and query optimization tasks.
- Direct legacy platform modernization initiatives, transitioning obsolete mainframe workflows to open-source environments.
- Coordinate project planning, assign programming workloads, and track task deliverables for engineering team members.
- Establish and maintain robust data backup and recovery processes to guarantee business continuity.
- Author software architecture diagrams, system verification plans, and technical instructions for production deployments.
