We are looking for a Senior JAVA Developer (German Speaker) with 5+ years of experience to join a new cloud-native project in a complex enterprise environment.

You will work with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure , contributing to scalable and secure backend systems in a distributed architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot in enterprise environments.
• Build and maintain REST APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) and work with PostgreSQL for scalable data solutions.
• Ensure stable and secure operation of systems in Cloud Foundry environments .
• Handle incident management, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution , including hotfixes when required.
• Maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging using Splunk to ensure system reliability.
• Perform vulnerability management, security updates, and certificate/secret lifecycle management .
• Support CI/CD pipelines , automation jobs, and operational tooling improvements.
• Contribute to code refactoring, technical debt reduction, and minor feature enhancements .
• Support migration activities (e.g., database upgrades or system migrations).
• Maintain and support existing Databricks components and data-related services .
• Apply Clean Code and SOLID principles , working in distributed and microservices architectures.

Requirements:

Must Have Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• At least B2 German level
• Strong experience with Java 21
• Solid experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Experience working with Cloud Foundry (Pivotal Cloud Foundry)
• Experience in maintenance and production-close environments (incident handling, hotfixes, RCA)
• Understanding of API design (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger)
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

Nice to Have:

• Frontend experience with Angular 17+ / TypeScript
• Experience with Kafka or IBM MQ
• Experience with SonarQube and code quality tools
• Experience with Hexagonal Architecture
• Experience with Splunk (monitoring / logging)
• Experience in migration projects (e.g., legacy system modernization)
