We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join a team delivering solutions for a leading telecommunications company. This role is ideal for experienced backend engineers who are passionate about building scalable microservices, contributing to architectural decisions, and collaborating closely with both technical teams and clients.
As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in designing and developing backend solutions, promoting development best practices, reviewing code, and helping drive technical excellence across the project.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing microservices using Java 21 / Java 25 and Spring Boot
- Experience designing and implementing Mock Services for testing and integration purposes
- Solid knowledge of Unit Testing and Functional Testing
- Experience interacting directly with clients and business stakeholders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
- Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and microservices best practices
- Experience participating in code reviews and maintaining high‑quality development standards
Job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Create and maintain Mock Services to support development and testing activities
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision‑making
- Promote and follow best practices for microservices development
- Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions
- Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability across backend applications
- Support junior and mid‑level developers through knowledge sharing and technical guidance
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
