Note: Candidates must be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. This position will work mostly remote from within the State of Wisconsin. There will be a requirement to come into the Hill farms office at least once every other week for one day (of the project team's choosing) for sprint planning and, work collaboration purposes. In the future if situation warrants, we expect the candidate to be flexible to accommodate the business needs as it relates to working from office.
Overview:
The selected candidate will play a hands-on senior technologist/lead role in modernizing State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation web application(s). Within this modernization effort the candidate will provide technical expertise in migrating application(s) to Spring Boot, upgrading Java versions, updating presentation layer technologies, migrating applications to container hosted environments, and provide guidance in the development of a DevSecOps and CI/CD development pipeline following industry best practices.
