Contractor Responsibilities
a. Applications Development Analyst Task List. The Contractors Representative shall perform the following tasks, as necessary, to complete work assigned by the Departments Contract Manager:
- Develop new JAVA applications.
- Enhance existing JAVA applications.
- Work with the OIT to gather business requirements.
- Provide maintenance and support for the JAVA applications.
- Provide project leadership.
- Develop and enhance project and technical documentation.
- Mentor OIT staff in JAVA development skills.
- Ensure that the OITs Service Delivery Framework, Standards and Procedures are followed.
- Provide system analysis, design, and programming support.
- Provide implementation support for applications.
- Transfer to OIT staff the knowledge necessary to maintain applications worked on, including any related technical knowledge.
Qualification Requirements for Contractor Representative
Mandatory Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with technical and customer staff.
- Experience developing database driven applications in a JAVA environment using Eclipse Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
- Experience working with Apache Tomcat application server software.
- Experience working with users to gather and document business requirements.
- Experience working with DB2.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience working with Crystal Reports.
- Experience developing applications for the Division of Unclaimed Property systems.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of programming/systems analysis experience.
