This role is for a Java Developer responsible for modernizing legacy mission-critical applications by migrating older Java applications to Java 17/21 using Spring Boot within an Oracle-based environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading software development efforts, modernizing legacy systems, and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
The position involves leading design, development, testing, code reviews, and deployment activities while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams on mission planning and management systems. Experience with Agile, CI/CD, REST APIs, Oracle databases, messaging technologies, and Java modernization, along with the ability to work within legacy environments and support long-term modernization initiatives, is essential.
