Our client is a well-known organization and they are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join their project team on a 12‑month contract. You will help design and deliver enterprise-grade digital solutions for key clients, working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale web applications using Java, Spring Boot and modern front-end technologies (e.g. React.js).
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices to support scalable, high-performance systems.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners and QA to translate requirements into technical solutions following SDLC best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize application performance and drive continuous improvements.
- Work within an Agile environment (Scrum / Kanban), contributing to sprint planning, code reviews and deployment activities.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 3 years of years of hands‑on software development experience delivering enterprise applications or digital solutions.
- Strong expertise in backend and full stack development with:
- JavaScript, ReactJS
- Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA
- RESTful API and microservices-based architectures
- MySQL / NoSQL / PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of SDLC, from requirements analysis, design and development through testing, deployment and support.
- Experience working in Agile teams and using tools such as Git and Jira.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with onshore and offshore teams.
- Exposure to AWS services such as ECS, S3 and Lambda is a plus.
- Good command in both English and Chinese.
