Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite)

Up to £55,000 + excellent benefits package
Were seeking a talented
Java Developer
to join a high-performing technology team delivering innovative solutions for large-scale, enterprise-level projects. Working within an Agile environment, youll play a key role in designing, developing and enhancing modern applications while collaborating with technical leads, testers and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What Youll Be Doing
Developing and maintaining Java-based applications and microservices.
Contributing to solution design and system architecture discussions.
Promoting best practices including Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing.
Supporting the delivery of features across the full software development lifecycle.
Mentoring and guiding junior developers within the team.
Working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
What Were Looking For
2+ years commercial experience with Java (versions 8-17).
Proven experience with Spring, Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
Experience working with JavaScript.
Strong understanding of modern software engineering best practices.
Experience developing and supporting microservices-based applications.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior developers.
