Software Developer (Java) – Hybrid (Two days in office)

This role is part of Priceline's Technology team, developing back‑end systems and REST APIs that serve hundreds of millions of searches per day.

Responsibilities

Participate in critical projects with direct impact on Priceline's business.
Work with a cross‑functional agile team that continuously experiments, iterates, and delivers on new product objectives.
Apply Core Java or similar programming skills to build low‑latency, high‑throughput transactional services with continuous integration and automated testing.
Write and maintain SQL queries to collect and analyze data in real time from our applications.
Understand code base, systems and business requirements to effectively make changes to applications.
Collaborate with teammates, speak up for solutions, and compromise respectfully when necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
4+ years of software engineering and development experience.
Proficiency in Core Java or similar programming languages.
Strong SQL composition skills for real‑time data queries and analysis.
Experience with Spring Frameworks, web services and APIs.
Experience with server‑side JavaScript and Node.js.
Experience with Git and Gitflow practices.
Positive experience with Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (GCP and AWS).

Compensation

Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 CAD, plus potential annual bonus and/or equity grant.
