You will be working in the Principal Flow Trading stream based in Hong Kong as part of the Equity Derivatives Quoting team. You will be part of a global development team, working closely with the front office to build out and support automated electronic trading applications.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee projects, drive deliveries and fully hands‑on designing and implementing high quality technical solutions to handle latency-sensitive trading algorithms
- Design, develop and support front-office trading applications, working closely with business users to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into innovative solutions
- Apply a broad range of software engineering practices to ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions, focusing on both functional and non-functional needs
- Work closely with the global team to further develop and innovate the Quoting applications – building observability into our solutions, monitoring production health, helping to resolve incidents, and remediating the root cause of risks and issues
- Share knowledge and technical expertise, excel as a team player with experience leading or mentoring more junior colleagues, contributing regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a front office environment, and comfortable facing off to the business
- Ideally 8+ years of experience in a similar position or domain
- Familiarity with this business domain, and real time trading platforms experience (Warrants / Listed Options / Futures / Market Making & specifics of market links) are an advantage
- Sufficiently advanced Java expertise as well as the interest in learning new technologies and practices
- An excellent communicator with strong internal client relationship skills
- Strong planning skills, well-organized and can work well under pressure
- Demonstrated the ability to work effectively and potentially juggle several tasks simultaneously
- The ability to adapt quickly to new challenges, like changes to business requirements on a daily basis
