We seek a Java Developer willing to accept new challenges in our Closer team, in a hybrid model based in Lisbon !
Key responsabilities:
- Platform Development and Maintenance: Responsible for the hands-on development, maintenance, and optimization of the FX electronic dealing trading platform.
- Quality and Performance Assurance: Ensure the platform is built and maintained to meet the highest standards of quality, security, low-latency, and high-load performance.
- Full SDLC Participation: Active involvement in an Agile-based software development life cycle, including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing, and code reviews.
- Production Support Collaboration: Partner with the production support team to handle component releases, maintenance, and participate in the Level 3 (L3) production support rotation.
- Multirole Execution: Work across multiple functions by gathering and working out requirements (user stories), implementing code, testing, and confirming deliveries directly with the business.
- System Refactoring: Modernize the platform by successfully redesigning and migrating older system architectures to new, high-performance frameworks.
Technical Skills:
- Core Java Engineering & Performance: Develop and maintain the core Java SE FX trading platform, ensuring optimal concurrency, low-latency execution, and efficient memory/JVM management (Garbage Collection tuning, JIT, cache-oblivious algorithms).
- System Design & High-Load Architecture: Architect, build, and optimize highly loaded, real-time distributed systems capable of handling low-latency financial exchange workflows.
- Legacy Refactoring & Migration: Redesign existing application frameworks and successfully migrate legacy components to modern, high-performance rails.
- Polyglot Maintenance (.NET/C#): Maintain and integrate legacy or parallel modules of the trading ecosystem written in C# and the .NET framework.
- Full-Lifecycle Engineering (SDLC): Drive technical analysis, write comprehensive documentation, perform code reviews, and execute rigorous QA testing within an Agile framework.
- L3 Production Support & Release Management: Collaborate with the operations team to manage component releases and participate in the Level 3 production support rotation to troubleshoot critical platform issues.
