Java Developer

Overview:

We are looking for talented Java developers to join EQD team to work on a Smart Derivatives platform (iPrice application). Smart Derivatives is a shared platform that host pre-trade and post-trade client facing applications, on Equities flows and structured products. It’s a well-established and well-known product that is available for clients for over a decade. A successful candidate is expected to contribute on par with other developers in Lisbon and Paris according to the current business needs. From the technology perspective we are relying heavily on core Java, Spring frameworks. Frontend is Angular and jQuery (optional).

What will you do?

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of the application.
• Ensure the platform is developed and maintained to the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.
• Participate in an agile based software development life cycle including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with the production support team for release and maintenance of the components.
• Work directly with business users to understand the requirements and perform L3 support when needed.

What are we looking for?

• CS major (or related) with high GPA or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with understanding the requirements and software application testing.
• Experience frontend or fullstack development and/or experience with asyncronous messaging and/or ability to navigate and understand evolved codebases.
• Experience in agile development methodologies and team collaboration.
• Ideally, exposure to Corporate Investment Banking, understanding of Cash Equities.
• Java 21+
• Spring framework.
• RDBMs, SQL.
• Messaging.
• CI/CD, Maven, git, Shell scripting, JavaScript.
• English – Expert.
• Ability to work as a part of a globally distributed team.
• Attention to detail, curiosity.
