ABOUT THE ROLE:
Whether you're in the heart of Vilnius or anywhere else, you'll join forces with dedicated professionals in the financial sector, working on modern applications that support treasury operations and banking integrations, helping build reliable, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
No prior treasury experience is required—we'll provide the necessary domain knowledge and training. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Java developer who wants to expand into the financial domain while working alongside knowledgeable engineers and business experts.
This is a hybrid position based in Vilnius, Lithuania.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications supporting treasury and banking processes.
- Build and enhance REST APIs, backend services, and integration components.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and senior developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop integrations with internal and external systems using APIs, messaging, and file-based interfaces.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design sessions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD processes.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
- Learn treasury business processes and banking concepts through structured onboarding and continuous collaboration with domain experts.
WHAT WE EXPECT:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
- Experience with unit and integration testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile team.
- Willingness to learn treasury processes and the financial services domain.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Salary ranges in Lithuania: 3300 - 5500€ gross (the given range is flexible and depends on your experience).
