IT Project Manager
Canada
- Senior-level Project Manager to perform system and business process analysis, documentation and planning
- Experience with resource planning, defining roles/responsibilities, developing project work plans/schedules/milestones, detailed approach for implementing
- Communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business staff
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors in the execution of projects including contract management and working with the procurement office
- Adhere to agency's project management practices and governance requirements and coordinate with department PMOs
- Maintains project budget, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status and disseminates information to team members and customers as defined in the communications plan
- Document requirements and use cases, facilitate design workshops for assigned projects
- Define test objectives, design test plans and test cases for assigned projects
- Provide management of project milestones and deliverables for on-time and on-budget delivery
- Define and measure progress with metrics
- Support system and application training efforts
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience managing large projects and a bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of and experience managing projects utilizing the following technologies is preferred
- PMP certification from PMI. Existing certification is preferred; however certification can be achieved while on the job within timelines established by the Program Manager
Development Responsibilities
- Create specification, design and integrate interfaces with other systems
- Design, develop and write application code to include change as requested
- Research, analyze, write and modify application code based on release requests including enhancements and defect fixes
- Provide emergency releases and production support
- Update quality center defects including test steps; code change to build the knowledge base
- Collaborate development and integration activity with other team members and other groups
- Understand requirement to write efficient application code. Review application server issues and provide resolution
- Write and modify application code. The focus requires high maintenance. 5+ years working experience with JAVA/JEE, JAVA design patterns, its related technologies for web based development
- 5+ years experience and integration using Struts, Spring, ORM tool like Hibernate, JPA and Web Services is required
- 5+ years working experience with SQL, PL/SQL with Oracle backend is required
- 2+ years experience creating technical design like class diagram and sequence diagram is strongly preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Weblogic, JDeveloper, Oracle ADF, UNIX Shell Scripting and UML are strongly preferred
- Candidate should be able to translate functional requirement and ER diagram/data model into technical design and application code
IT Business Analyst
Canada
- 8 to 11 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst 3 years of experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs
- Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks
- Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
- Develops epics and stories for Agile software development
- Create and groom backlogs related to the project with Product Owner. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies
- Needs experience in Windows, Word, Excel, MS-Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS-Project software
- Familiar with enterprise solutions in a web environment
- Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc
- Ability to establish a working relationship with users and help create a product vision
- Needs very good written and verbal skills in order to communicate on a daily basis with all levels of the business and technical organizations
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast paced environment. Must be a team player
- Experience with the Rational Suite would be a plus
- Familiarity with client-server concepts would be beneficial
