Ideal Candidate
A mid-level Java Developer with strong Spring Boot and Microservices experience, combined with Equity/Trading domain expertise, who can build scalable, low-latency applications in a fast-paced financial technology environment.
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an Associate Java Developer to join its Trading Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development experience and a background in Equity or Trading platforms, with expertise in building scalable microservices and supporting high-performance trading applications.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior engineers, quantitative teams, and product stakeholders to develop resilient execution and order management solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Core Java (Java 11+)
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
- Experience developing Microservices
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (preferred)
- Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Strong SQL and/or NoSQL database experience
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, collections, and concurrency
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Domain Experience
- Equity or Trading domain experience (Required)
- Understanding of trade lifecycle, order management, or execution platforms
- Knowledge of market data, order routing, or financial systems
- Exposure to regulatory, compliance, or risk-controlled environments is a plus
