Java Developer

* Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
* Build and enhance RESTful APIs to support enterprise business processes and service-to-service communication.
* Develop backend business logic, data access layers, and integration components leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle Database.
* Write clean, secure, maintainable, and testable code that aligns with team standards and best practices.
* Utilize Oracle SQL, including schemas, stored procedures, indexes, constraints, and query optimization, to ensure data quality and performance.
* Participate in application design discussions, API contract definitions, technical documentation, code reviews, and implementation planning.
* Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments, including root-cause analysis and performance tuning.
* Support application reliability, availability, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness for systems supporting financial services.
* Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, DevOps, architects, and fellow developers to deliver value through iterative development.
* Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
* Identify opportunities to enhance code quality, automation, performance, supportability, and efficiency for continuous improvement.
* Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
* Proven experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
* Strong understanding of enterprise application delivery and full software development lifecycle.
* Proficiency with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
* Familiarity with Oracle Database, including SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
* Ability to write clean, testable, and secure code following standardized practices.
* Experience troubleshooting issues and tuning performance in complex environments.
* Effective communication skills to articulate technical details across diverse teams.
* Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
* Working knowledge of Angular or other modern frontend frameworks, with an understanding of UI/API interactions.
* Experience within financial services sectors such as banking, lending, payments, risk, or compliance.
* Knowledge of enterprise security/authentication mechanisms including OAuth/OIDC, JWT, and API gateways.
* Exposure to containerized or cloud-native deployment environments like Kubernetes or GCP.
* Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or IBM MQ.
* Experience with observability and monitoring tools, including Elastic, Grafana, or similar platforms.
* Understanding of DevOps practices, automated deployment pipelines, and environment configuration.
* Ability to contribute to technical documentation and operational runbooks.
* Awareness of regulated environment standards, including auditability, access control, data protection, and change management.
