Job Description:
As a Java Developer, you will design, develop, and support enterprise applications using Java and related technologies. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance software solutions while contributing throughout the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain Java/J2EE applications for enterprise environments.

Develop and enhance business logic, APIs, frameworks, and distributed application components.

Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.

Build and support user interfaces using modern UI technologies and frameworks.

Create and optimize integrations with relational databases and messaging systems.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and test-driven development activities.

Troubleshoot application issues and support performance tuning and scalability improvements.

Develop and maintain automated build, deployment, and testing processes.

Support applications across Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.

Contribute to software architecture, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

3+ years of experience in Java and J2EE development on both client-side and server-side applications.

Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design (OOA/OOD), data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

Experience with application frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, JSF, or similar technologies.

Knowledge of relational databases, distributed systems, and messaging technologies.

Experience with UI technologies such as AngularJS, jQuery, HTML5, JavaFX, Swing, or similar frameworks.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and test-driven development practices.

Experience with build and automation tools including Maven, Gradle, Ant, Jenkins, JUnit, TeamCity, or similar tools.

Knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, performance tuning, scalability, and Java garbage collection is preferred.

Excellent communication skills and experience with API development; financial services or trading domain experience is a plus.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
