Role Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Developer to join our Assurance Hub team. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technologist with deep expertise across the Java ecosystem and a strong background in building scalable, secure, and high‑performance microservices. Banking domain experience is highly desirable with additional exposure to XML, JSON, and messaging technologies. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, influencing design decisions, ensuring code quality, and contributing to the stability and performance of mission‑critical applications within a highly regulated financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade applications using Core Java, Spring (Spring Boot), and Hibernate.
- Build and optimize RESTful microservices that are scalable, secure, and resilient.
- Implement Kafka‑based integrations, including producers, consumers, and streaming pipelines.
- Write clean, maintainable, and unit‑tested code using JUnit and best development practices.
- Utilize CICD automation: work with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and DevOps integration activities.
- Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support when required.
- Design and optimize database queries and scripting in PostgreSQL, including schema updates and performance improvements.
- Leverage Unix shell scripting for automation, job scheduling, and operational tasks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: QA teams, business analysts, product owners, and architects to deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and participate in knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security guidelines, and banking regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Years of proven hands‑on experience in Core Java, Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with RESTful microservices, Kafka integration, and message streaming.
- Knowledge of JUnit and unit testing frameworks.
- Experience with CICD tools and automation.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and database scripting.
- Proficiency in Unix shell scripting.
- Robust understanding of microservices design principles, distributed systems, and cloud‑ready application development.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Banking or financial services domain experience.
- Familiarity with XML and JSON‑based integration and data transformation.
- Exposure to messaging technologies, API gateways, or cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.

Education
