Summary
We are seeking Senior Java Developers to join our team on a 1‑year fixed term. As a Java Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain Java‑based applications or software solutions for a leading North American Bank. This long‑term staff augmentation role requires strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot. You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver high‑quality solutions to our client.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java applications using Java and Spring Boot, translating business requirements into technical solutions that follow best practices.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and quality assurance professionals to ensure clear communication and smooth delivery across the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and debug, identify and resolve technical issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks by analyzing logs and using debugging tools.
- Support quality by participating in unit, integration, and system testing, writing test cases, executing tests, and reporting defects.
- Commit to continuous learning, staying current with Java technologies, frameworks, and best practices through training, certifications, and knowledge sharing with colleagues.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Extensive professional experience in Java development, working on large and complex applications with high business and customer impact.
- Minimum six years of professional experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
- Minimum six years of experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in the financial services/banking industry.
- Analytical decision‑making skills and ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to operate independently or with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver technical demonstrations.
Total Rewards
- Salary range: $72,000 – $138,000.
