Job Title: Java Developer RCM / Denials Management - W2 ONLY
Location: Remote
Long Term
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Job enterprise-level applications using Java / J2EE technologies.
- Build and support backend services, APIs, and integrations for RCM and Denials Management platforms.
- Work on healthcare workflows related to claims processing, denial tracking, appeals, remittance, payments, and revenue cycle operations.
- Develop and enhance modules for claim status, denial reason codes, appeal workflows, payment posting, and reporting.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and healthcare operations teams to understand functional requirements.
- Integrate applications with internal and external healthcare systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, HL7, EDI, or other integration methods.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution for application defects and workflow-related problems.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Support documentation of technical designs, workflows, and system enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience in Java / J2EE development.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes.
- Hands-on experience or strong domain knowledge in Denials Management.
- Good understanding of healthcare workflows such as:
- Claims submission
- Claim adjudication
- Denial management
- Appeals process
- Remittance processing
- Payment posting
- AR follow-up
- Experience working with healthcare data formats and standards such as EDI 837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, or HL7 is preferred.
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, debugging, and reporting.
- Experience with application servers, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools.
- Good problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

- Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs, SOA
- Database: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL

- Cloud/DevOps: AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
- Testing: JUnit, Mockito, Postman, Swagger
Domain Expertise Required:
- The candidate should have practical knowledge of the RCM lifecycle, including:
- Patient registration and eligibility verification
- Claims creation and submission
- Claim edits and rejections
- Denial identification and categorization
- Denial reason codes and root-cause analysis
- Appeals and resubmission workflows
- Remittance advice and payment posting
- AR follow-up and revenue recovery
- Reporting and analytics for denial trends
