The client is seeking up to three onsite Intermediate Java Developers to support approved projects across multiple technical areas. The projects include product feature enhancements, implementation, and support activities for both external clients and internal product features. This role requires candidates who can work effectively with integrated enterprise environments, external business users, and Agile development teams. Experience in telecommunications environments, including copper and fibre networks, is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities
Analyze user requirements to inform application design Define application objectives and functionality Align application design with business goals Create high-level and detailed technical designs Adhere to development and testing standards Develop, unit test, debug, and remediate applications Recommend changes to existing infrastructure Develop multimedia applications and user documentation Provide demonstrations and participate in peer reviews Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives Ensure continuous professional development Perform other duties relevant to the role as required Required Qualifications
Education: Post‑secondary education in one of the following: Computer Science Engineering Information Technology Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer on medium to large projects Minimum 5 years of experience with JUnit Minimum 3 years of experience with Spring Boot and/or Angular Minimum 3 years of experience with Maven, Git, and Database UI Minimum 3 years of experience with JSF 2.1 Minimum 3 years of experience with JPA 2.0 using Hibernate Proven experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects or large complex projects Solid experience in solution design, development, and testing Previous experience working within Agile or Agile/Hybrid methodologies Minimum 3 years of IT and/or telecommunications experience preferred Experience with AI tools is considered an asset Preferred Experience
Telecommunications industry experience, including copper and fibre networks Enterprise software development in highly integrated environments utilizing APIs Experience working directly with external business users
